"Community Night Out"
On August 3rd, USMHC had a small display of more recent military items held at the National Night Out event held in Willmar at Robbins Island. Working with Homefront Connection in Willmar, the event had an extra Military theme to it this year, with the MN army National Guard having a Blackwawk Helicopter there for the public to see.
The display included items of the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Uniforms, some field gear, and more were displayed in a GP SMall tent.
Members of the Homefront Connection group helped man the display, and talked to the public about what their organization does, and let youth try on some of the field gear including the armored vests used by soldiers overseas.
